Yaroos: Building Role-Based Experiences for Elder Care

Yaroos is a care platform designed to help families find support and companionship for older adults. Its web application brings together different user journeys for family members and companions.

The Development Challenge

The platform needs to serve users with different responsibilities. Family members and companions require separate interfaces, navigation, and access rules that reflect their individual workflows.

My Role

I contributed to the web application by developing dashboard pages for family and companion users, working on role-based navigation, and reviewing user flows across the application.

Technical Approach

The interface work focused on keeping role-specific pages separate, protecting navigation paths, and maintaining consistent behavior throughout the user journey. I also collaborated on backend requirements and planned integration work.

Ongoing Development

The platform continues to evolve. Areas identified for further development include location-related features, post-signup login workflows, and management of older adult profiles.

Technologies

React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Node.js, Express.js, MongoDB, and Flutter where applicable.
